With the bike now out of action with a broken gearbox I thought I'd have a look at the front brake which has been getting stuck on more regularly. After applying the brake it doesn't release immediately.
Opening up the front hub I found out why, The brake shoes have snapped so are free ish to do there own thing.
Spot the cracks...
There they are...
I think this is because the pin that the shoes rotate around had come loose and was able to be twisted by the force of the brakes. In turn this twisted the arm on the shoe that goes around the pin, ultimately snapping it over time.
Front hub needed now as well as a rear gearbox!
