Front wheel weirdness

So there's a few weird things going on with my Gazelle front wheel.
Weird things being that it uses parts that are either bespoke to Gazelle or really hard to find if they are even available as spares.

First is that the brake shoes are completely different to Sturmey Archer ones.

Not only are they made of pressed sheet steel, Sturmey ones are cast -  you can see the ones I broke in an earlier post, but the pivot is a different size and the cam is a different width.

Next the bearing race uses different size and therefore also different number of ball bearings.
There's a picture below of a Sturmey Archer rear cone next to my Gazelle front cone showing the difference in size.

Looking online spare front wheel bearings for a Sturmey archer drum hub are too big and too few

Mine has 11 balls at approx 4.75mm diameter

Ages ago there was an old Gazelle going spare which had an almost identical front hub to mine externally but inside had sealed cartridge bearings.

My front wheel has worn cones and likely needs new balls.
I was wondering if I can press out the cups and rather than replace them too fit a cartridge bearing replacement axle like this one from SJS cycles.

I haven't done any research to check that this would actually fit yet though.

If any one is reading this and has any tips, knows any spares or even better has a second hand front wheel that would be great.

The reason for not wanting to replace everything with a brand new hub is not purely for the cost.
I haven't found the front drum to be that great, that powerful, at stopping the bike. As a result I am reluctant to buy a new hub which looks to be about £80 and then have the cost of building it into a new wheel if i am still going to get average braking force.

My alternative idea  is to get some stronger front forks and use a disc brake instead, definitely a more expensive option but one that would result in a stronger braking setup.

Proof they are 4.75mm!

Also this seal part is missing from one side

Currently I have the seal on the outside on the side opposite the brake stopping the rain and road dirt getting on. I think if I go down the route of servicing this hub and buy new cones and balls I also need one of these to stop the brake dust and dirt getting in the bearings and stop any grease getting from the bearings into the brake. Grease getting into the brake didn't seem to happen but the bearings were filthy from brake dust so a seal there would definitely be good.
